Wells Students Honored As NEAC Scholar-Athletes
A total of 79 Wells College student-athletes demonstrated excellent academic performance and earned recognition as North Eastern Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes for the 2017-18 academic year. Wells ranked third among the 14 full NEAC member institutions with 79 NEAC Scholar-Athletes. Both institutions ranked ahead of Wells have more than double the overall enrollment.
In order to be selected, a student-athlete competing in a conference-sponsored sport must achieve a combined grade-point average of 3.4 or higher for the fall and spring semesters and must have been in good standing on his or her team.
Across the conference's 14 full-member institutions and six associate member schools, the conference set a record with 890 student-athletes earning NEAC Scholar-Athlete distinction.
