Second NEAC Weekly Honor For Kemp

Wells College baseball pitcher Zach Kemp was named North Eastern Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 25, 2018. It is the second time this season that Kemp has earned this recognition and the third time in his career.

Kemp was the winning pitcher in two games for the Express as he came in relief and pitched effectively in victories over SUNY Canton and D'Youville College. Kemp pitched the final three innings of a 7-6 win over SUNY Canton, allowing three hits while holding the opponent scoreless. He earned his second win of the week after surrendering one unearned run in the final inning of an 8-7 victory over D'Youville. After his 2-0 week, Kemp was tied for the league lead with three wins in 2018.

Kemp is a sophomore business major from Ithaca, N.Y. and was a second-team all-conference selection as a freshman in 2017.

Wells plays at home Monday, April 2 at 3:30 p.m. against Marywood University and Wednesday, April 4 at 3 p.m. against Utica College.
