Wells College to Host NCAA Baseball Regional
Wells College will be the host college to one of six NCAA Division III regional baseball sites. Falcon Park in Auburn, N.Y. will serve as the tournament site that Wells will be hosting beginning Thursday, May 27 through Sunday, May 30.

The Wells College baseball team concluded a home-and-home weekend series against Penn College in four close games. On Sunday, April 18, the visiting Wildcats took the first contest 9-8 in a nine-inning game originally scheduled for seven while the Express rallied to take the second game by a 2-1 score.

Baseball Team Takes First Home Conference Games
The Express won both conference matchups against PS-Berks, thanks to a big inning in each game. In the first game, Wells scored five runs in the third that was enough to carry them to a 6-3 victory. In the second game, a six-run sixth inning broke open a 3-3 game and propelled the Express to a 9-3 victory.

Baseball Team Stymied by Opposition Hurler
The Wells baseball team had a tough afternoon on the road at Penn State Harrisburg on April 3. In the first game, the Express were stymied by a no-hit pitching performance from the Nittany Lions. In the second game, double-digit stranded Wells runners kept the Express from narrowing the deficit.

Express Complete Three Games in Four Days
The Wells College baseball team completed its third game in a four-day span against visiting Alfred State. The Express rallied from a 2-0 deficit to tie the game midway through the contest before the Pioneers tacked on seven more for a 9-2 final on Thursday, March 11.

Ryan Stevens Hired As Wells Baseball Head Coach
Wells College has hired Ryan Stevens as head coach of the baseball team. Stevens began his employment in September 2019 and is the second head coach in the young history of the Express program. He most recently served as head coach of the baseball team at Tompkins Cortland Community College.

All-Region Honors For Baseball's Dylan Nolan
Wells College baseball catcher Dylan Nolan earned all-region recognition by the American Baseball Coaches Association for the 2019 season. Nolan is the first player in the three-year existence of the Wells baseball varsity program to earn all-region honors.

Wells Finishes Third In NEAC Baseball Tournament
The Wells College baseball team saw its 2019 season come to an end following a pair of losses Saturday, May 11 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference tournament at the Wells Turf Field. Wells lost 4-2 against Penn State Abington and then fell 5-3 against Penn State Berks in an elimination game. Wells capped a record-setting season with an 18-22 overall record.

Dylan Nolan hit a two-run homer in the fourth, which was his 100th career hit. He is the first player to reach 100 career hits since baseball was instituted at Wells in 2017.
