Field Hockey Slowed By SUNY New Paltz, 2-0

KINGSTON, NY — The SUNY New Paltz field hockey team stopped a four-game losing streak with a 2-0 non-conference win over Wells College at Dietz Stadium this afternoon.

The Hawks (3-7) possessed the ball for most of the 70-minute game and held a decisive 18-1 shot advantage. New Paltz took a 1-0 lead 13 minutes into the first half when senior midfielder Lisa Taub (Greenlawn, NY) scored following a save off the pads of Wells senior goalie Zamir Vasquez (New York, NY).
