AURORA, N.Y. - Neumann University snapped a scoreless tie in the second half en route to a 2-0 victory over the Wells College Express in field hockey action Saturday afternoon in Aurora. Erica Crabtree and Ellyn Jones eached tallied a goal for Neumann, while goalie Sam Katowski finished with one save. Express goalie Amanda Catalano (Lockport, N.Y.) finished with four saves in the loss. With the victory Neumann improves to 2-10 while the Express fall to 3-9.

The first half was tightly contested with Neumann registering the only shot in the half. The second half would be a different story as Neumann came out firing, drawing 17 penalty corners, while putting six shots on net. Jones broke the tie in the 50th minute and Crabtree added an insurance with less than three minutes to play to seal the victory.

Neumann held the advantage in shots 7-3 and penalty corners 20-9. The Express return to action on Monday when they take on the Marywood University Pacers at 4 p.m. in Aurora.
