Wilson Knocks Off Field Hockey, 4-0

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Sophomore Cat Taylor (Jackson, N.J.) had the lone shot on goal for the Express as the Wells College field hockey team posted a 4-0 loss to the Phoenix of Wilson College Friday afternoon. With the loss, the Express fall to 1-3 overall on the year while the Phoenix (1-2) collect their first win of the season.

Wells played from behind the entire game as Meghan Schneck converted a penalty stroke in the game's 12th minute to place the hosts up by a 1-0 margin. Taylor Crouse scored Wilson's second goal at 33:33, with Schneck scoring again only 53 seconds later to place the Phoenix up 3-0. Katie Omori scored an insurance goal for Wilson only 11 minutes into the second half to conclude the scoring at 4-0.

Express goalkeeper Sydney Line (Northport, N.Y.) recorded five saves on nine shots while Gina Weingold was untested for Wilson – the lone save of the game was a team save.
