Lexi Cohen Earns NEAC Field Hockey Recognition

Wells College field hockey defender Lexi Cohen was named North Eastern Athletic Conference Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 18, 2016.

Cohen made two defensive saves for the Express in Sunday's game against Marywood. She leads the team with three defensive saves on the season. She also contributed to a 3-2 shootout victory for Wells over Bryn Mawr on Saturday.

Cohen is a team captain and has started all eight games this season for the Express. It is her first career weekly award from the conference. She is the third Express student-athlete to garner NEAC recognition in the 2016 season, following the opening week honors for forward Logan Vincent and goalkeeper Kelsey Kokosa.

The Express begins NEAC play Saturday, Sept. 24 at Morrisville State College with a 5 p.m. game.
