The Wells College field hockey team ran into a strong challenge Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 11 and came out on the short end of a 5-0 score against Castleton University at Spartan Stadium in Castleton, Vt. Wells is 4-11 on the season and Castleton improved to 6-9.
The host Spartans scored twice in the first half and added three goals in the final 10 minutes of the game as Wells wrapped up its second game in as many days.
Sydney Line started in goal for the Express and made 20 saves. Lexi Cohen had two defensive saves for Wells. Castleton took 50 shots in the game.
