Seniors Honored In Field Hockey Game Against Keuka

The Wells College field hockey team concluded its regular-season home schedule and regular-season conference schedule with a 3-1 loss to visiting Keuka College on Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Wells Turf Field.

Wells finished North Eastern Athletic Conference play with a 2-1 conference record and earned the right to host the NEAC championship game on Saturday, Oct. 29 against Wilson College. Wells is 4-13 overall and Keuka is 1-14, with a 1-2 NEAC record.

The Wolves scored both goals in the first half, but Wells made a spirited comeback effort in the second half. The rally started on a goal by Abby Gilson, assisted by Ivy Cromp in the 49th minute. Wells had a 6-5 advantage in shots in the second half. Keuka got an insurance goal with eight minutes left to account for the two-goal margin.

Sydney Line made four saves for Wells.

Wells recognized five graduating players prior to the match – Lexi Cohen, Sydney Line, Courtney Pitcher, Shianne Stokes, and Logan Vincent.

The Express concludes its regular season Wednesday, Oct. 26 at Hartwick College at 4 p.m.
