Wells Field Hockey Knocked Off By Oneonta

The Wells College field hockey team was held off the scoreboard for the first time this year in a 9-0 loss to SUNY Oneonta on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at the Wells Turf Field in Aurora, N.Y. Wells is 0-4 on the year and Oneonta improved to 2-3.

Oneonta scored three goals in the first seven minutes of the match and led 5-0 at halftime. The Red Dragons added four second-half goals.

Mollie Walts had two shots for the Express.

Goalkeeper Allison Solomon made 16 saves.

Wells begins North Eastern Athletic Conference play Saturday, Sept. 15 at Lancaster Bible College with a 2 p.m. game. The game will be played at Lancaster Mennonite School in Lancaster, Pa.
