The Wells College field hockey team wrapped up its regular season with a Saturday, Oct. 20 match at Morrisville State. The host Mustangs scored all three of its goals in the second half and went on to a 3-0 victory over the Express.
Wells was outshot 13-0 in the opening half but seven saves from goalkeeper Allison Solomon helped keep the game scoreless. The Mustangs added three second-half goals. Solomon finished with 12 saves on the night. Mollie Walts had two shots for Wells.
Wells fell to 1-13 overall and 1-2 in the NEAC this season. The Express will take on conference opponent Keuka in the NEAC Championship game on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. at Keuka College. The winner of that game will earn a place in the playoffs of affiliate conference Colonial States Athletic Conference.
