Field Hockey All-NEAC Honors For Coleman, Gilson

Wells College field hockey student-athletes Whitney Coleman and Abby Gilson were recognized by North Eastern Athletic Conference coaches and earned all-conference recognition for the 2018 season. Wells qualified for the NEAC championship game for the third time in four seasons.

Coleman, a junior midfielder from Oneida, New York, earned her first-career All-NEAC selection. Coleman tied for the team lead in all three main offensive categories. Coleman had three goals and two assists for eight points.  Two of Coleman's goals came in the team's victory at Lancaster Bible College. She started all 15 games for the Express in 2018.

Gilson, a junior defender from Ithaca, New York, also earned All-NEAC honors for the first time. A reliable defensive presence and leader throughout her Wells career, Gilson started all 15 games for the Express. She recorded two defensive saves and had two shots.
