Brockport Field Hockey Surges Past Wells

The Wells College field hockey team opened its 2019 season with a 13-0 loss at the College at Brockport on Friday, August 30.

It was the first game for the Express under first-year head coach Jessica Galatioto. Wells entered the game and completed it with all 11 players on the roster battling through 70 minutes of action.

Whitney Coleman recorded one shot for the Express. Goalkeeper Nikki Michaud had 10 saves.

The game was contested under new timing rules for the 2019 season as the game was played in four 15-minute quarters rather than two halves. Brockport scored nine times in the first half and four goals in the second half.

Wells is back in action Saturday, Sept. 7 at home against Oswego State at 2 p.m.
