Field Hockey Team Falls in NEAC Championship Game

The Wells College field hockey team fell on the road to defending North Eastern Athletic Conference Champion Keuka on Saturday, Nov. 2.

The win for the Wolves allowed them to win their third-consecutive title after scoring at least two goals in each quarter. Keuka finished the game averaging three goals per-quarter and ending with a dozen on the day.

Current NEAC Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week Sabrina Burns was busy in the Wells net and recorded 11 of her 15 saves in the second half. For Burns, it was her sixth-consecutive double-digit save performance during which she recorded half of her 168 season saves during those final half-dozen starts.

All-Conference NEAC selection Whitney Coleman had the best scoring chance for Wells in the third quarter and led the team in shots.
