Department of Athletics To Cancel 2013 Mixed Golf Season

AURORA, N.Y. – The Wells College Department of Athletics has formally announced the cancellation of the mixed golf program for the spring 2013 season, Director of Athletics Michael Borsz announced Thursday afternoon.

The program achieved varsity status prior to the 2008-09 athletic season. After the spring athletic calendar, Wells College will reevaluate the feasibility and sustainability of a golf team at the institution.

Head Coach Dan Kane, who had coached the golf team for the prior three seasons, will remain with the department as the Head Coach of the men's soccer team as well as the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities.
