WINNING WEEKEND FOR MEN'S BASKETBALL

The men's basketball team enjoyed their short stay in Pennsylvania over the weekend, defeating Penn St. Harrisburg 70-65 in overtime on Saturday. The Express then traveled to Penn. St. Berks where they dispelled the Nittany Lions with a 71-67 victory on Sunday afternoon.

Saturday, February 14
WELLS 70 PENN ST. HARRISBURG 65
The Express would repay the favor to Harrisburg on Saturday afternoon avenging an early season 91-87 overtime loss back on November 15th with a 70-65 overtime victory at Harrisburg.

Freshmen Greg Jones (Alexandria, VA) led the way for the Express finishing with a game high 18 points and 11 rebounds. Andre Sawyers (Bronx, NY) recorded his first double-double finishing with 17 points and 11 rebounds, including a lay-up with 22 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime. Juniors Tony Parker (Sodus, NY) and Jarrell Williams (Bronx, NY) each chipped in with 11 points for the Express.

It was an evenly matched game as each team would have four players in double figures while both teams would rip down 51 rebounds. The Express would finish the overtime period 6-6 from the free throw line which would prove to be the difference maker.

Sunday, February 15
WELLS 71 PENN ST. BERKS 67

A lay-up by Greg Jones (Alexandria, VA) with 2:41 left in the game sealed the 71-67 victory for Wells on Sunday afternoon. Darrell Bullock (Chicago, IL) poured in a game high 27 points including 10-13 from the free throw line. Tony Parker (Sodus, NY) turned in a double-double, finishing with 13 points and game high and career high 18 rebounds while Jones finished with 15 points for the Express who, with the win, improve to 11-12 on the season.

The Express will next take on conference leading SUNY IT on Saturday, February 21st at 6:00 pm. The game originally scheduled to be played at Wells, has been moved to Ithaca College.

The location for the game scheduled against Cazenovia College on Sunday, February 22nd has been changed. Originally to be played at Wells, the game has been moved to Cornell University at 12:30 pm.
