JUMPER WITH 16-SECONDS LEFT SINKS EXPRESS

Despite leading by four points with a minute left in the game, the Express were unable to hold on to their lead as Keuka shooter Alex Coleman would hit a jumper with 16 seconds left giving the Storm a 61-60 victory on Tuesday night at Keuka.

Darrell Bullock (Chicago, IL) finished with a game high 22 points and five steals, while Andres Sawyers (Bronx, NY) finished with a game high 13 rebounds for the Express. Greg Jones (Alexandria, VA) also finished with 19 points and seven rebounds for Wells who now falls to 9-12 on the season.

The Express entered the second half down by one at 22-23. The Express would take the lead early in the second half, and lead by as many as ten points with 15 minutes left to play. Keuka would not lay down as they would storm back to tie the game at 47-47 on a Peter Durr three-pointer with 10:47 remaining.

Bullock would hit one of two free throws to give the Express a four point lead at 60-56 with 1:01 left in the game. On the ensuing possession Rob Crowley would hit a three-pointer to draw Keuka within one at 60-59. Justin Stern would foul Matt Condy, putting him on the charity stripe for two shots. Condy would miss both free throw shots and Keuka would race down the floor where Coleman would hit the game winning shot with 16 seconds remaining. The Express would have chance at winning the game, but Keuka would force a turnover with two seconds left in the game thwarting any last second shots by Wells.

Wells, who has been averaging just over 46 percent shooting on the season, shot just 36 percent from the field on Tuesday night, while shooting a lowly 41 percent (10-24) from the foul line.

The Express will next travel to Pennsylvania this weekend where they will take on Penn St. Harrisburg on Saturday at 1:00 pm and then travel to Penn St. Berks on Sunday. Tip-off is has yet to be announced for the game against Penn. St. Berks.
