WELLS EARNS FIRST VICTORY IN PROGRAM HISTORY

Aurora, New York –Darrell Bullock (Chicago, IL) poured in 25-points and Greg Jones (Alexandria, VA) had 20-points and eight rebounds as the Wells College men's basketball team ran over Hilbert College 77-59 Tuesday night at Hilbert. Jarrell Williams (Bronx, NY) finished with a team high 12 rebounds for Wells. The win marks the first victory in team history for Wells College who played their inaugural game against Alfred University on Saturday losing 71-64.

Both Bullock and Jones torched the Hilbert defense for 14-points each in the first half closing out with a 20-9 run and leading Hilbert 43-28. The Express would lead by as many as 17-points throughout the second half, and although Hilbert would pull to within six, Wells tightened up their defense and cruised to the 18-point victory.  The Express shot over 50% for the game including 9-18 from the three point line and 12-17 from the free throw line.

With the win the Express improve to 1-2 on the season while Hilbert falls to 0-1.

The Express will next play in the Hamilton Tip-Off Tournament at Hamilton College against Bates College on Friday, November 21 at 6:00 pm.
