WELLS MEN’S BASKETBALL SET FOR NEAC TOURNAMENT
Aurora, N.Y.– The Wells College men's basketball team is set to make their 2010 run at the North Eastern Athletic Conference championship. The Express earned the second seed in the upcoming tournament and will take on the No. 7 seed Keuka College (9-15) on Friday, Feb. 26 at 7:00 p.m. at Penn. St. Harrisburg in Middleton, Pa. Keuka defeated No. 10 seed Cazenovia College 83-70 on Tuesday evening to advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
The Express enter the tournament with a record of 19-6. Wells defeated Keuka in both meetings between the two this season taking the first game at Keuka back on January 23rd by a score of 83-66. The Express also defeated the Storm at home 90-61 on February 3rd.
Wells will look to make a return to the NEAC championship after SUNY IT ended the Express' NCAA tournament hopes with a 78-49 victory in the 2009 championship game.
