STRONG SECOND HALF PROPELS WELLS OVER MORRISVILLE

Aurora, N.Y.–  Juan Paulino (Bronx, N.Y.) finished with 23 points and a season high 26 rebounds as the Wells College men's basketball team (15-6) cruised to an 88-60 victory over the visiting Morrisville State Mustangs (7-13) on Wednesday evening at Wells. Ron Tarver (Utica, N.Y.) led all Mustang scorers with 19 points while Francis Dolloway (Brooklyn, N.Y) chipped in with ten.

Three-pointers by Darrell Bullock (Chicago) Rionn Pradia (Houston, Tex.)and Terrance Wright (Rochester, N.Y.) helped the Express jump out to 15-5 lead to start the half. With Wells holding a 12 point lead with seven minutes remaining, the Mustangs would close the gap, going on an 11-4 run over the final minutes to trim the lead to 35-29 at the break.

The Mustangs would come out battling to begin the second half, twice trimming the lead to four in the first eight minutes. But with Wells leading 46-42 with 12 minutes to play, the Express would begin to pull away as Paulino scored six of his team's next eight points sparking a 25-8 run the Mustangs would never recover from. Morrisville committed six of their nine second half turnovers in the final 12 minutes, while being held to just 18 points over that time.

Bullock finished with 22 points, five rebounds, and four assists, while Wright and Jarrell Williams (Bronx, N.Y.) each added ten points each to round out the scoring for the Express.

The Express will finish out their home schedule this weekend against Penn St. Berks on Saturday (Feb 13.) and Penn St. Abington on Sunday (Feb 14.) with the tip-off set for 1:00 pm each day at Wells.
