WELLS BASKETBALL TROUNCES FIGHTING TIGERS

Aurora, NY– Ten different players scored as the Wells College men's basketball team (7-4) rolled over the SUNY Cobleskill Fighting Tigers (3-8) 81-54 on Saturday afternoon at Wells. Rionn Pradina led the Express with 14 points, while Juan Paulino chipped in with 10 points and a game high 14 rebounds. The Fighting Tigers were led by Damon Franklin with 18 points and Carl Thomas  with a team high 12 rebounds.

The Express opened the game up with a 12-2 run and led by 20 heading into halftime using a suffocating full court press that led to 16 first half turnovers.

The Express continued the full court pressure in the second half as the Fighting Tigers were unable to get any closer than 14 points in the half. 

Marcus Thomas led the Express on the defensive end finishing with a game high six steals while chipping in with 10 points and six assist, while Matt Duffy added 13 points and five assist. 

The Express return to action tomorrow when they take on the SUNY IT (7-3) Wildcats at 1:00 pm at Wells.
