HARRISON AND MAYEN NAMED NEAC FIRST-TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE

(Aurora, N.Y.)─ Wells College men's basketball players Terry Harrison and Mabior Mayen have been named  North Eastern Athletic Conference First-Team All-Conference for the 2010-11 season. Harrison and Mayen helped lead the Express to a 14-11 record, including 13-5 in the NEAC and the No. 3 seed in the upcoming NEAC Championship Tournament.
 
Harrison, a transfer from Cayuga Community College, had an impressive first season for the Express. Averaging 19.1 ppg and 9.7 rpg, Harrison finished with 13 double-doubles on the season and was named NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week four separate times. Harrison finished second in the conference in scoring and third in rebounding. Highlights of the season included a 30 point, 14 rebound performance against SUNY Cobleskill and a 29 point, 13 rebound performance against defending NEAC Champion SUNY IT.
 
Mayen, a freshmen, averaged 16.1 ppg and 10 rpg, including 13 double-doubles. Mayen earned NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week once during the season. Mayen finished sixth in the conference in scoring and second in rebounding. Highlights of the season included a 33 point, 12 rebound performance against Penn. St. Berks and a 28 point, 13 rebound performance against Cazenovia College.
 
The Express will take on No. 6 SUNY Cobleskill this Friday at 3 p.m. in game one of the North Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament held on the campus of Penn. St. Harrisburg in Middleton, Pa.
