HARRISON NAMED D-III NEWS PRESEASON ALL-AMERICAN

AURORA, N.Y. – Wells College senior men's basketball player Terry Harrison (Brooklyn, N.Y./Forest Hills) has been named D-III News Pre-Season All-American Honorable Mention for the upcoming season. The publication also selected Harrison as the Pre-Season North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Player of the Year while choosing Wells to place second in the conference.

Last season, Harrison helped lead the Express to 17-12 record, the NEAC Championship, and an appearance in the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Tournament-a first for the institution.

Harrison earned several post-season awards including D3Hoops.com Men's Basketball All-East Region Second Team, NEAC All-Conference First Team, and NEAC Tournament MVP. Harrison averaged 18.8 points per game and 9.4 rebounds per game in 29 games on the season. He also finished with 13 double-doubles and was named NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week four separate times. Harrison finished the 2011 season second in the NEAC in scoring and third in rebounding.

The Express open up the season on Nov. 15 when they host Hartwick College at 8 p.m. in Aurora.
