Bryn Athyn Knocks Off Wells Men's Basketball

The Wells College men's basketball team fell by a score of 77-64 at Bryn Athyn College on Sunday, Jan. 22 in North Eastern Athletic Conference action at Bryn Athyn, Pa. Wells is 10-5 overall and 7-2 in the NEAC. Bryn Athyn is 6-9 overall and 4-6 in the conference.

Wells made a 3-pointer in the game's opening minute, but never led again as the host Lions ran out to a 21-6 first-half lead. Wells pulled to within five points in the second half when Rich Ross nailed a 3-pointer to make the score 41-36 with 12:37 left and again with 2:20 remaining after a Chris Courtney layup brought Wells to within 63-58.  Bryn Athyn wrapped up the victory with successful free-throw shooting.

James Feocco had career-best totals with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Chris Courtney scored 14 points and Rich Ross had 11.

Wells was held to 33.9 percent shooting from the floor.

The Express is back in action with a home game Wednesday, Jan. 25 against Hamilton College at 7:30 p.m. Next weekend Wells hosts NEAC opponents Penn State-Berks on Saturday and Lancaster Bible on Sunday.
