Hot-Shooting Hamilton Outguns Wells Men's Basketball

The Wells College men's basketball team ran into a hot-shooting visiting team as Hamilton College made 22 3-pointers and defeated Wells 127-82 on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at the Farenthold Athletic Wing of the Schwartz Center in Aurora, N.Y.

Hamilton improved to 13-4 on the season and Wells now holds a 10-6 record.

Three players scored in double-figures for Wells, led by Rich Ross with 29 points. James Feocco scored 14 points and Ayodele Akinmola added 13. David Dames had eight rebounds and Ross had seven. Chris Courtney had five assists.

It was the fourth-highest scoring total in Hamilton men's basketball history. Wells trailed 60-34 at halftime. The Express scored 48 points on the second half, but Hamilton kept up its torrid pace and won by a significant margin.

Wednesday's game was the final non-conference game of the year for Wells. The Express returns to North Eastern Athletic Conference action this weekend with a Saturday game against Penn State-Berks and a Sunday game against Lancaster Bible College. Both games begin at 3 p.m.
