NEAC Men's Basketball Weekly Honor For Rich Ross

Wells College men's basketball sophomore guard Rich Ross was selected as the North Eastern Athletic Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 29, 2017. It is the third time this season that Ross has earned the conference's weekly honor.

Ross scored 77 points over three games last week for the Express. He averaged 24.0 points per game in two NEAC victories to help Wells maintain its position atop the NEAC North Division Standings. Ross capped off the week by scoring 31 points in Wells' 74-68 come-from-behind win over defending NEAC Champion Lancaster Bible College, with 21 of those points coming in the second half. Wells also defeated Penn State Berks, and lost to non-league opponent Hamilton College. Over the three games, Ross compiled 23 rebounds, six assists, four steals, and three blocks.

Recently, Ross was interviewed on Between The Lines, a local sports radio show on ESPN Ithaca. You can listen to the interview here via the station's PodCenter.

Wells has three more home games this week, with a Wednesday night contest against Keuka College at 7 p.m., a Saturday game against Cazenovia College at 3 p.m. and a Sunday game against Morrisville State College at 2 p.m. Wells is 12-6 overall and 9-2 in the NEAC.
