D'Youville Runs Past Wells Men's Basketball

The Wells College men's basketball team lost by a 96-64 score at D'Youville College on Monday, Nov. 20 at College Center Gym in Buffalo, N.Y.

Wells is 0-3 on the season and D'Youville is 2-1.

The Express got its best scoring performances from interior players. Freshman forward Jalen Tribble scored a career-high 16 points in 30 minutes of action and added 10 rebounds. Junior forward David Dames had 12 points and a team-best 11 rebounds.

Mohamed Hassan had three assists. Tribble, Anthony Nesci, and Rich Ross each had two steals.

Wells took a seven-point lead with 13:46 left in the first half when a basket from Zach D'Arpino put Wells ahead 13-6. D'Youville outscored the Express 32-15 over the remainder of the first half to hold a 10-point lead at halftime.

Wells was 3-for-18 from behind the 3-point arc, while D'Youville shot 14-for-28 from behind the arc, a 33-point discrepancy. The Express converted 13 of 20 free-throw attempts.

The Express returns to action Monday, Nov. 27 with a home game at 7 p.m. against Alfred State.
