Keuka Pulls Away Late For Win Over Men's Basketball

The Wells College men's basketball team fell 74-63 at Keuka College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game Tuesday, Jan. 30.

The teams exchanged leads throughout the first half and Keuka pulled ahead for a 41-34 advantage.

The Wolves maintained their lead for the first several minutes of the second half, but a Wells run got the Express back in front. Wells rallied from a nine-point deficit and held a lead four times in the second half.

A 3-pointer from Zach D'Arpino put Wells ahead 58-56 with 6:17 remaining. Keuka closed the game on an 18-5 run.

Three players scored in double figures for the Express. Macho DeJesus scored 17, D'Arpino had 15, and Jalen Tribble scored 10. Tyree Fisher led Wells with seven rebounds. Anthony Nesci had four assists.

Keuka outrebounded Wells 51-27 and scored 22 points at the free-throw line. Wells was 4-for-11 on free-throw attempts in the game.

Keuka is 9-9 overall and 7-4 in the NEAC. Wells is 6-13 overall and 4-6 in the conference.

The Express returns home this weekend for games Saturday and Sunday. Wells hosts Lancaster Bible College at 1 p.m. Saturday and Wilson College at noon on Sunday.
