Men’s Basketball Team Settles for Weekend Split

The Wells College men's basketball team fell on the road to Lancaster Bible College on Sunday, Jan. 12 by a 73-59 score. With both teams having identical North Eastern Athletic Conference records, the winner was looking to boost their NEAC winning percentage to .667.

The Chargers didn't make it easy for Wells after starting the game with a 7-0 run. Quentin Battle closed that gap to four points in the first with a three that made it a 23-19 game before the Chargers took a 42-31 lead into the break.

Zach D'Arpino sank a 3-pointer three minutes into the second half to get the Express within eight at 49-41, but that was a close as the Express would come after back-to-back games this past weekend.

Dylan Frost had a team-high nine points, while eight came from both Izaiah McPherson and Jalen Feliz. Keian Montero led the team in rebounds with a half-dozen and also shared the team lead in assists with Anthony Nesci at four.

The men's basketball team next travels to Morrisville State for a 5 p.m. game on Wednesday, Jan. 15.
