Men's Basketball Loses Exhibition At Colgate

Wells College men's basketball took on Colgate University in a exhibition game in Hamilton New York on Sunday. The NCAA division 1 Red Raiders took down the Express 93-60. 

The Express opened the game with a defensive stop and a missed dunk on the offensive end. Jarek Feliz would burry a 3 and then Colgate would hit back to back threes taking a 11-5 lead heading into the first media time out. The Express continued to make Colgate work on offense and contest every shot. The found some success with defensive rebounding but were still down 9, (29-20) heading into another media time out. Out of this timeout, the Express would turn it over leading to a 9 point run by Colgate and building a 42-22 lead going into half time. 

The Red Raiders started the second half on a 14-5 run as they continued to build their lead. COm bright spots in the second half were K-Cie Salmon coming off the bench and scoring 10 points on 4 shouts. The Express for the game shot 50% from 3 and 55% from the foul line. The host, Colgate, would win this one 93-60.

Men's Basketball will play their home opener Tuesday when they take on Cazenovia College.
