Men's Basketball Wins Second In A Row Behind 32 points from Clayton-Murphy
Wells College men's basketball traveled to Elmira College on Tuesday night for one of their final non-conference match-ups. The Express would take down the Eagles 82-74.
Terrance Clayton-Murphy had a stand-out day for the Express scoring 21 first-half points. The Express were down as much as 7 (7-14) early in the first half but battled all the way back to grab a 27-26 lead off of a 3 from Clayton-Murphy with 6 minutes left in the half. The offense would continue to roll for Wells College and they had a 38-33 lead going into halftime.
The Express would continue to carry a lead for the majority of the second half. Key shot-making from Ransel Rodriguez and Terrance Clayton-Murphy kept the Express ahead. Ty McBride would make two big late three-point shots with 3 minutes left to increase the Express lead to 11. After a 3-point shot went down for the Eagles the lead was cut to only 5 with less than a minute left. Late-game free throws from Jalen Feliz and Ransel Rodriguez would secure this broad victory and make it two wins in a row for the men's basketball team.
Men's basketball will be back home on Thursday when they host SUNY ESF.
