Men's Basketball Drops Conference Game at Home

Wells College men's basketball hosted the Alfred State Pioneers Wednesday night for their third conference match-up of the season.

In the first half, Alfred State started to build a lead when the Express were stuck on 13 points for 5 minutes of play. Chase Welch made two free throws to break the streak but the Express found themselves down 32-17 at half. In the second half, Wells picked up the offense scoring 40 points in their comeback attempt. Twenty one of those points came from Terrance Clayton-Murphy. Eight second-half turnovers put the brakes on the Express' comeback and the Pioneers began to pull away. Wells fell in this one, 70-57.

Up next, Wells will host Penn State Altoona this Saturday at 3 PM
