MORRISVILLE STATE RUNS OVER EXPRESS, 23-2

Aurora, NY-The Wells College men's lacrosse team did not have any answers for Morrisville State as they went on to lose 23-2  in non-conference action Saturday afternoon in Aurora. Kylan Hallett (Basom, NY) scored the only two goals for the Express while ten different players scored for Morrisville. Kyle Brimm (Geneva, NY) suffered the loss in net recording seven saves on the day. With the loss the Express fall to 0-4 on the season while Morrisville improves to 3-4.

Tim Bobbett would score two of his five goals in the early minutes of the first quarter as the Mustangs would build a 3-0 lead before Hallet put the Express on the board with six minutes remaining in the first quarter. The Mustangs would go on to score 13 unanswered goals over the next 34 minutes, building a 16-1 lead with two minutes remaining in the third quarter.

Hallett's second goals with a little over two minutes remaining in the third quarter would prove to be the last scoring for the Express as the Mustangs netted seven more goals over the last 17 minutes of the game, cruising to the victory.

Morrisville held the advantage in shots (37-5), groundballs (23-16), face-offs (18-7), and clears (4-3).

The Express will look for their first win of the season when they travel to Keuka College on Thursday, April, 2 at 4:00 pm in Keuka.
