MISERICORDIA DEFEATS MEN'S LACROSSE, 12-5

Dallas, Pa.– The Misericordia men's lacrosse team (1-2) jumped out a 5-0 lead and never looked back defeating the Wells College Express (0-3) 12-5 on Saturday afternoon in Dallas, Pa. Dan Hunt (Skaneateles, N.Y./Skaneateles) scored two goals and Kylan Hallet (Basom, N.Y./Akron) added a goal and two assists in the loss. Kyle Calabro finished with a game high four goals, while Matt Gonzalez tallied three to lead Misericordia. Kyle Brimm (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) took the loss in net with 18 saves.

Down 5-0 in the second quarter, the Express battled back on two late goals from Dan Munsell (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) and Hunt to trim the lead to 5-2 heading into halftime. 

The Misericordia offense picked up in the second half firing 24 shots, tallying seven goals, while holding the Express to just three goals on five shots. 

Munsel and David Kaus (Eria, Pa./Northwest Pa. Collegiate), who also tallied a goal, each finished with six groundballs to lead the Express. 

Misericordia held the advantage in every major category including shots (61-13), ground balls (43-35), and face-offs won 16-2. 

The Express return to action tomorrow against Alvernia University at 2:00 p.m. in Reading, Pa.
