MORRISVILLE ROLLS OVER WELLS COLLEGE

Aurora, N.Y.–  The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team put 11 goals in the back of the net in the first quarter, cruising past visiting Wells College Express 19-5 Friday night in Morrisville.

Morrisville State improves to 8-2 overall and remains undefeated in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) at 4-0. Wells drops to 1-9 in the loss and 1-4 in conference action.

Kylan Hallett and Dan Munsell each netted two goals to lead Wells on the night. Dan Hunt rounded out Express scoring with a goal and two assists.

Kyle Brimm recorded the loss in net, saving 10 for Wells.

Twelve different players scored for the Mustangs, led by Thomas Owens (Cazenovia, NY) with four goals and four assists. Tom Bobbett (Cazenovia, NY) added three goals with Tom Moore (Rush, NY) and Geoff Matzel (Chittenango, NY) each netting two scores and assisting another. Adam Lewis (Painted Post, NY) netted one and assisted a career best seven in the win.

Michael Hinchey (Kingston, NY) recorded the win between the pipes, saving two, while teammate Brian Finnegan (Austin, TX) made seven stops in the final three quarters.

Morrisville State held the 41-26 advantage in shots and dominated the Express in ground balls 51-33.

The Express return to action Wednesday, April 21 against Cazenovia College at 4:00 p.m. in Cazenovia, N.Y.
