(Newburg, N.Y.)─ The Wells College men's lacrosse team remained unbeaten (2-0) on the young season, using a strong second half to roll to an 18-10 non-conference victory over the Mt. Kyle Brimm (Geneva, N.Y.) earned the victory in net with 17 saves, while Shawn Cobstill (Oneonta, N.Y.) took the loss in net with 13 saves. The loss drops the Knights to 1-4 on the season.

Wells freshman Forrest Lambert (Aurora, Colo.) finished with three goals and two assists, while Jonathan Mulcahey (Fulton, N.Y.) and Dan Munsell (Doylestown, Pa.) each added three goals.  Munsell grabbed a game-high 13 groundballs and Lambert collected 11.  Junior Steven Mack (Rome, N.Y.) won 20-of-28 faceoffs and also nabbed 11 groundballs for the Express

Freshman Matt O'Donnell (Wallkill, N.Y.) and freshman Stephen White (Schenectady, N.Y.) each scored a pair of goals during the opening run and the Knights led by three with 8:28 remaining in the second quarter.  Wells, however, would score the next five goals and a tally by Mulcahey, at the 4:40 mark of the second quarter, gave the Express a 6-4 advantage.  Mount sophomore Pullen answered with a pair of goals to close the first half, though, and the Knights managed to tie the game at 6-6 before halftime.

Hallett scored the first two goals of the second half, sparking a 6-2 third quarter run for the Express.  Pullen opened the scoring in the fourth quarter to bring the Knights back to within three at 12-9, but Wells responded with a goal from Munsell. Pullen scored again to make it 13-10, but the Knights would get no closer.  Wells closed the game on a 5-0 run and claimed the 18-10 victory.
