MULCAHEY LEADS EXPRESS IN ROUT OF NITTANY LIONS

AURORA, N.Y. – Jonathan Mulcahey (Fulton, N.Y.) finished with four goals and five assists and Dan Munsell (Doylestown, Pa.) and Nick Dolan (Englewood, Colo.) each scored five goals to lead the Wells College men's lacrosse team to a 19-4 victory over the Penn. St. Abington Nittany Lions  in North Eastern Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon in Aurora. With the victory the Express improve to 3-2 (1-0) on the year while the Nittany Lions fall to 0-7 (0-1 NEAC).

Dolan also finished with three assists, while Forrest Lambert (Aurora, Colo.), Joe Kane (Ashton, Md.), Dan Schilling (Huntington, N.Y.), Mike Dicampli (Geneva, N.Y.), and Alex Manley (Derby, N.Y.) each netted a goal to round out the scoring for Wells.

Lambert put the Express on the board early in the first quarter but the Nittany Lions responded with a goal just moments later to knot the game up at 1-1 with ten minutes left in the quarter. The Express took over from there, scoring 13 straight unanswered goals over the next 25 minutes to take a commanding 13-1 lead into the break.

The Nittany Lions opened the third quarter with a goal, but a goal by Manley, two straight from Mulcahey and a goal by Munsell gave Wells an insurmountable 15 goal lead (17-2) heading into the final quarter as they cruised their third straight victory.

It was an all-around impressive performance for the Express who out shot the Nittany Lions 53-17, scooped up 69 ground balls to Penn. State's 27, and controlled the face-off 15-24.

The Express will look to keep things rolling when they take on Mt. St. Mary College on Monday, April 2 at 4 p.m. in Aurora.
