GAME PREVIEW: Men's Lacrosse vs. Mitchell (at Hobart College)

The Wells College men's lacrosse team will host the visiting Mariners of Mitchell College on the campus of Hobart College this Saturday, Mar. 9 - the game will kick off at 12:00 p.m. at H.J. McCooey Memorial Field in Geneva, N.Y. All fans are invited to root on the Express this Saturday free of charge.

MOUNT SAINT SQUARED – The Wells College men's lacrosse teamis off to an 0-2 start on the early season, posting back-to-back 21-2 losses to the College of Mount Saint Vincent and Mount Saint Mary College. Against the Dolphins of Mount Saint Vincent, freshman Michael Flaherty (Rochester, N.Y.) posted both of his team's goals while senior captain Daniel Munsell (Doylestown, Pa.) notched both goals against the Knights of Mount Saint Mary.

BENCH BOSS - Head Coach Christopher Bily, a 2007 graduate  of SUNY Cortland, enters his first season as bench boss of the Wells College men's lacrosse team. Bily was a member of the 2005 SUNYAC Champion Red Dragons men's lacrosse team and most recently served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordiantor for Robert Morris University in Chicago, Ill.

Bily is assisted by his brother, Alex Bily, and Ryan Dwyer. Alex, a 2008 graduate of Le Moyne College, is a two-time USILA All-American who drew First Team honors as a senior and Second Team merits as a sophomore. Dwyer, a 2008 graduate of Wells College, was a member of the inaugural season of men's lacrosse in Aurora and was the recipient of the Lesley Wead Zabriskie Express Award as a senior.

THE CENTURY MARK - Munsell, who enters this afternoon's game with 41 career games played, is only four points away from 100 for his career. Currently second all-time with 96 points to his credit via 75 goals and 21 assists, Munsell trails only Kylan Hallett '11 for first place all-time in program history. Hallett, a two-year member of the Express, scored 80 goals and 32 assists for 112 career points.

STAYING NEUTRAL - The Express currently sport a 1-1 record at neutral sites in their five year program history, most recently collecting a 7-6 victory against Mount Saint Vincent on Mar. 17, 2012. In that contest, Forrest Lambert scored the go-ahead goal with only 33 seconds remaining in regulation time to secure the victory.
