Bischoff Nets First Career NEAC Defensive Player of the Week Award

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Junior Tyler Bischoff (Annandale, N.J.) was awarded with the North Eastern Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week Award on Monday for his performance this past week for the Wells College Express. Bischoff and the Express are off to a 2-0 record, tying their program record for victories to begin the season.

The junior goalkeeper made 16 saves on 22 shots faced to post a .727 save percentage and also picked up two ground balls to help the Express post a 9-6 win over Houghton College on Thursday. Bischoff now leads the NEAC in save percentage (.774), goals allowed (seven) and goals-against average (3.50) for the Express.

Bischoff leads all goalkeepers in program history with 13.53 saves per game and ranks second all-time in career saves with 202. His .473 career save percentage ranks third in the team's history and he is third all-time in goalkeeping victories.

Wells returns to action this Wednesday, Mar. 26 as they face-off against Keuka in a 7:00 p.m. tilt at Penn Yan Academy in Keuka Park, N.Y.
