Hilbert Takes Men's Lacrosse Win Over Wells

The Wells College men's lacrosse team fell by an 11-5 score at Hilbert College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game Saturday, April 22 at Hilbert's Varsity Field in Hamburg, N.Y.

Wells trailed 4-3 at halftime, but the Hawks outscored the Express 4-0 in the third quarter to take control of the game. Hilbert is 8-4 overall and 4-2 in the NEAC. Wells is 3-7 overall and 2-4 in the conference.

Wells will play at home Wednesday, April 26 at 4 p.m. against Keuka College.

Brady Hoose scored three goals for Wells, and Aaron Heisey and Jordan Milliken scored the other goals. Alex Milliken and Tanner Mingen had two assists each, and Ian Domon assisted on the first Hoose goal.

Goalkeeper Nick Hallinan made 22 saves, a career-high saves total for the freshman. That followed a 21-save performance in Wednesday's Wells victory over SUNY Poly. He is averaging 14.3 saves per game.

Tanner Mingen had 16 ground balls for Wells. Hilbert won 17 of the game's 20 faceoffs.
