Men's Lacrosse Seniors Honored At Final Home Game

The Wells College men's lacrosse team wrapped up its home regular season schedule for the 2017 season and honored its seniors on Wednesday, April 26 at the Wells Turf Field. North Eastern Athletic Conference foe Keuka College provided the opposition and came away with a 21-7 victory over the Express.

Four-year Wells College players Alex Milliken and Brendan O'Connor were honored in a pregame ceremony. Milliken is the program's all-time leading scorer. He is from Hilton, N.Y. and majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology. O'Connor is a four-year starter on defense for the Express with 60 caused turnovers and 100 ground balls. He is a native of York, Pa. and majoring in business.

Keuka outscored Wells 9-1 in the first quarter and held a 14-1 lead at halftime. Wells scored six times in the second half.

Brady Hoose had three goals for Wells and Tanner Mingen, Alex Milliken, Aaron Heisey, and Ian Domon each scored once. Tanner Mingen had two assists and Alex Milliken has one assist.

Wells goalkeeper Nick Hallinan had nine saves. Aaron Heisey led Wells with 10 ground balls.

Keuka improved to 8-5 overall and 6-2 in the NEAC. Wells is 3-8 overall and 2-5 in the conference.

The Express concludes its 2017 campaign Saturday, April 29 at Medaille College.
