Men's Lacrosse Goalie Takes NEAC Honor

Wells College men's lacrosse goalie Zack Simone was selected as the North Eastern Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending March 11, 2018.

Simone helped Wells to a win and a loss in two games last week. He made 10 saves in a 12-9 victory over Houghton College and added nine saves in an 11-6 loss to SUNY Delhi. Simone had two ground balls and two caused turnovers against Houghton.

For the season, Simone is 2-1 with a 53.7 save percentage. He has 36 saves in three games.

Simone is a senior majoring in environmental science with a minor in criminal justice. He is a native of Johnstown, N.Y.

Wells is back in action Tuesday, March 13 at SUNY Canton at 1 p.m.
