Battle Scores Five In Men's Lacrosse Defeat

The Wells College men's lacrosse team wrapped up its 2019 season with a 21-7 loss at Cazenovia College on Saturday, April 27. Quinten Battle had five goals for the Express.

Cazenovia led 10-2 after the first quarter and then rattled off seven straight goals in the second quarter to hold a 17-2 lead.

The Express scored five times in the second half, with three goals by Battle and one each from Nathan Ramsey and Justin Dude. Ramsey had three assists in the game.

Jared Shearer made 11 saves in goal. Aaron Ramsey had three caused turnovers and Trevor Stein led Wells with four ground balls.

The Express concluded its season with a 1-13 overall record and 0-7 record in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.
