Outside of lacrosse, Bily has worked in the area as a substitute teacher for the West Genesee and East Syracuse-Minoa Central School Districts.

A 2007 graduate of SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, Bily was a member of the 2005 SUNYAC Champion Red Dragons men’s lacrosse team as well as a member of the 2006 NCLL National Championship team at the club level.
