EXPRESS TOP GALLAUDET ON THE ROAD

(Washington, D.C.)─  The Wells College men's soccer team earned their fourth victory of the season in impressive fashion, shutting out North Eastern Athletic Conference opponent Gallaudet University, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon in Washington, D.C. Patrick Sodums (Candor, N.Y./Spencer Van Etten), Delroy Roberts (Schenectady, N.Y./Schenectady), and Justin Rigney (New York/Beacon) all scored for the Express who improved to 4-4-1 (2-1 NEAC) with the victory. The loss drops Gallaudet to 0-6 (0-2 NEAC).   

Roberts put the Express on the board at 11:52 scoring from 20 yards out for the 1-0 lead. Wells struck again late in the first half scoring on a free kick from 25 yards out off the foot of Rigney as the Express headed into the break with a 2-0 lead.   

Sodums put the finishing touches on a dominating game for Express, scoring midway through the second half on a rare double assist from Roberts and Jonathan Mulcahey (Fulton, N.Y./Cayuga Community College) as the Express cruised to the 3-0 shutout victory.   

Wells held the advantage in shots (20-3) and corner kicks (6-2).   

The Express will look to continue their great play tomorrow against NEAC opponent Penn. St. Harrisburg at 2:00 p.m. in Harrisburg, Pa.
