MEN'S SOCCER PLAYS TO 1-1 DRAW AGAINST MORRISVILLE

(Morrisville, N.Y.) ─  John Iapoce scored the game tying goal with less than two minutes remaining in regulation as the Wells College Express held on for the 1-1 draw against Morrisville State in North Eastern Athletic Conference men's soccer action Saturday in Morrisville. C.J. Bayly finished with five saves in goal for the Express, while Mustangs goalie Shane Sullivan finished with five stops.

It was an intense 110 minutes of action with neither team taking full control of the game. Morrisville held the slight edge in shots 19-18, while the Express held the advantage in corner kicks 8-6.

Morrisville played a man down for the last 21 minutes of regulation play and with less than two minutes left in the game, Iapoce scored on an assist from Cody Glassman, sending the game into overtime.

Neither team managed much of a scoring opportunity in the extra frames as the game finished in a 1-1 draw.

The Express return to action against St. John Fisher on Tuesday, October 5 at 7:00 p.m. in Rochester.
