Express Edged By Penn State Harrisburg, 1-0

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Express goaltender C.J. Bayly (Waymart, Pa.) turned aside seven of eight shots on goal, but the Wells College men's soccer team fell to the Nittany Lions of Penn State Harrisburg by a 1-0 final Saturday afternoon. The loss snaps a two game winning streak as the Express fall to 5-4 overall on the season and to 2-3 within the North Eastern Athletic Conference. The Nittany Lions improve to 4-3 overall while remaining undefeated within the NEAC (3-0).

James Bilger scored an unassisted goal at 47:55 of the contest, only 2:55 into the second half to secure the victory for the Nittany Lions. The last victory by Wells College over Penn State Harrisburg came on Sept. 18, 2009, a 2-0 road win for the Express.

For the Express, Bayly drew his fourth loss of the season after making seven saves. Charles Hyson earned the shutout for the Nittany Lions, halting all three shots on goal that he faced.

Penn State Harrisburg outshot the Express by a 17-to-8 margin and also drew nine corner kicks opposed to the Express' one.

The Express return to action Saturday, Sept. 29 as they host the Chargers of Lancaster Bible College in a 2:00 p.m. tilt.
