The final regular season match of the year for the Wells College men's soccer team was a 4-1 loss at Morrisville State College on Saturday, Oct. 29. It was a rematch of the 2015 NEAC Championship game, won by Morrisville in overtime. Wells stands at 10-4-3 and finished 8-3-2 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference, good for fifth place in the standings. Morrisville 14-3-0 and took first place in the regular season with a 12-1-0 NEAC record.
The Express will begin postseason play with a first-round game at fourth-place Penn State-Berks on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. Wells defeated Penn State-Berks 1-0 in overtime in the regular season in Aurora.
Morrisville scored the only goal of the first half, which ended a streak of more than 343 minutes of game play during which Wells didn't concede a single goal.
Wells tied the score in the second half, when Morrisville played the ball into their own net.
The Mustangs closed the half with a run of three goals for the win.
Wells goalkeeper Owen May finished the game with seven saves.
