Soccer Teams Hosting Go4theGoal Event Tuesday

The Wells College men's and women's soccer teams will participate in the Go4theGoal campaign during the Tuesday, Oct.17 home games against Cazenovia College. The teams will wear gold-colored laces in their game shoes to show their commitment to the fight against pediatric cancer.

The Wells College teams have purchased the laces as their initial fundraising efforts, and will be accepting donations at halftime of each match on Tuesday. The men's soccer game begins at 4:30 p.m. and is followed by the women's soccer game at 7 p.m.

The Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer initiative started in 2011 and has been represented by teams from youth levels through professional leagues. Goal4theGoal's mission is to improve the lives of children battling cancer by providing financial support, developing and implementing unique hospital programs, funding innovative research, and granting personal wishes. Through first-hand experience with pediatric cancer, Go4theGoal provides the best practices to patients, their families, and the hospitals and staff that care for them.
