Undefeated Nazareth Defeats Wells Men's Soccer

The Wells College men's soccer team played its second consecutive road contest and fell by a 3-1 score at Nazareth College on Wednesday, Sept. 4. Nazareth extended its undefeated start to the season and owns a 3-0-0 record through the first week of the season.

Nazareth scored once in the first half and added two second-half goals. Wells freshman Nathan Soliman scored his first career collegiate goal to get the Express on the board.

The first Nazareth goal came in the 18th minute and the Golden Flyers led 1-0 at halftime. Nazareth held an 8-7 advantage in shots in the first half.

Nazareth added goals in the 53rd and 62nd minutes to build a 3-0 lead. Soliman's goal for the Express came with 20:49 remaining in the second half and was unassisted. Wells goalkeeper Colton Jaquith made eight saves.

Wells is 1-2-0 on the season and will return to action Saturday, Sept. 7 at Hilbert College at 3 p.m.
